The price is ok in relation with conditions. It is well located, the staff really helpful, clean towels every day (which is not that obvious) Disadvantages: noise, noise, noise.

very nice hostel in the city centre of Alicante! Just a few walking minutes to the shopping area and a 10-min walk to the beach! A lot of restaurants and shops are very close!

Mobiliario antiguo. Había muchos ruídos y se escuchaba todo (conversaciones de habitaciones de al lado). La situación es buena, en pleno centro.

unfortunately i did not stay at the portugal on this occasion as my meeting was cancelled but have stayed there on previous trips and think that it is good value for money and the location second to none-bars/shops/restaurants/beach all on the doorstep...ok it could do with a bit of work done on it-especially the single accommodation however the plusses far outweigh the minuses.

El hostal es funcional para estar unos días, aunque es muy antiguo y las habitaciones no son nada del otro mundo, el baño estaba limpio y no se dormía mal. La zona es cómoda porque la estación de autobuses está enfrente y andando llegas al puerto y al paseo en poco tiempo. Un día nos tuvimos que duchar con agua fría porque según el de recepción se acabó la bombona de butano, que teníamos que haber avisado para que la cambiaran, pero vamos, que en ningún momento nos dijeron que se podía acabar. Eso lo tendrían que tener previsto.
